Non-spoilery c-drama update!
Cosmetology High: I'm on episode 7. I am watching this for Zhang Zhehan and no other reason. His character, Pei Yuntian, is a hilarious, scheming little gremlin and I love him very much. The two leads are played by Jin Shijia and Yang Rong, who I have loved in other dramas (Under the Skin, Sand Sea) but are playing extremely annoying characters here. This whole drama is terrible, honestly, with moments of humor and pathos that just tease you with what could have been.
Sword Snow Stride: I'm on episode 11. I really enjoyed the first 10 episodes of this wuxia, and then a thing happened in ep 10 that really annoyed me, and now I'm not sure if I want to continue. The characters are wonderful, the writing and pacing are mostly good, and the music and cinematography is lovelyyyyyy. I especially love Nangong Pu She and wish she had more of a role.
The Wind Blows from Longxi: I finished this yesterday and loved it! It's one of my very very few 5-star dramas so far. It's a historical fiction spy drama starring Chen Kun and Bai Yu (Angelababy is listed as main cast but she's not around very much, tbqh). Sun Yi's character was my absolute favorite! I want to watch more dramas with her now. Anyway I laughed, I cried, I want to watch it again immediately.

That said, other plot lines actually do get resolved, and it was at least entertaining enough that I kept watching.
